The new update has ruined everything I liked the about this game! For instance now when encountering a convoy I often find I am in the midst of a convoy and instantly detected. The deck gun aiming is now inconsistent. Enemy ship collisions change the base course of those ships permanently and radically different to the body of the convoy making it hard to re-establish the contact of the convoy after evading escorts. Worst of all now when you switch to another app and go back to the game you now lose all progress you had with the current convoy and are put back into the convoy search mode. Also, as before closing the app does not do so! You have to double-click your button to view all apps and swipe it closed even after exiting the program properly from its menu. Did the developers even try this game on an iPhone? These problems and others would have been obvious if they had. To top it off the app still does not show up in iTunes so I cannot revert to the older version which was by far much better than this new update! This update to my favourite game is so sad its unbelievable and they have ruined it! I would expect a huge fix to this app like yesterday! Surely they are not oblivious to all the problems they have now introduced!

Ive enjoyed playing this game a lot. Its very reminiscent of Microproses Silent Service and Silent Service II, which I enjoyed in my late teens, early 20s. If you are a fan on naval warfare games, Crash Dive is definitely worth the price. Waxing nostalgic for the amazing games of my youth... Priceless!

The latest update has raised the "IQ" of the escort ships, made their sonar more sensitive and given them more formidable tactics against an attacking submarine. I dont know what to think of the way in which enemy ships "collide" and bounce off each other and sometimes resultingly spin around but I guess thats because of the huge difficulty of writing a program algorithm to deal with that challenge. Its a great simulation and a lot of fun. The rest of this review is what I wrote for previous versions before most recent update.... There arent very many submarines simulation games around. This is the best one I have happened to experience since my all – time favorite submarine simulation program, which was a DOS (Microsoft operating system before Windows 95). But, alas! I dont remember the name of THAT program. So crash dive is the best submarine game I have ever played whose name I can remember. The developers of this game PAY ATTENTION to suggestions from their users! Therefore I will make a suggestion: I suggest that they add a protective cover over the switches for decoy launch and torpedo launch. Because on a few occasions Ive accidentally brushed too near those buttons and unintentionally launched a decoy or torpedo.

Love this game but since the update came out the targeting system is broken! I cant even hit a ship when directly behind and in line with it! Please fix now!

The game runs horrible!! The enemy ships crash into each other and every so often, when torpedoed, they spin in circles like they were caught in whirlpool. That even happens to the ships that werent hit but close by to the hit ship. Get something else to play. Junk!!!

Pretty decent. Could use some ironing, not fully replaceable, but not "Junk!!!".

Its fun, but not perfect. A corvette spinning a battleship like a top is stupid. The top scores in the scoreboard are only possible with maximum ships with maximum points and dont really appear possible.

Ive been playing this game for more than a year. It plays great...very stable...excellent game design and physics. I recommend it!

I for one sat on the fence too long. Remember RBI 2014? I bought that too soon as I am a baseball fanatic...way too arcade...but not the case here. I have fond memories of silent service and this is a great replacement! Do not let the small download fool you ( just good programming imo) Anyone who enjoys a good sub simulator I will highly recommend. Does not hurt either the developer has promised no IAPs ....ever! That clinched it for me. And no it is not too much! Slept in this morning because of this damn game! Lol

A terrific little sub hunter. Lots of fun.

I have been wanting a decent WW2 sub sim for the iPad for a long time. Finally I have exactly what I wanted! The gameplay, graphics and sound are fantastic, and unlike most games, the replay value is very high. The tutorial got me up to speed in a few minutes and now I cant stop playing! If you enjoy this genre of game dont hesitate...buy it immediately. You wont be disappointed.

Those who remember the old classic game called GATO will be thrilled. This adaptation is very well done and very promising. A bit expensive but this game is way better than any others Sub games available on the AppStore. Bravo to the developpers. Adding a "deploy mine" option would be suitable... Runs perfectly on my iPad2.

Excellent game. Reduce the number of escorts and heavy warships by about 50%, and include a British destroyer type, and it would be a great simulator as well.

Best of the bunch to date. Okay, its not Silent Hunter on a PC but this is as close as we have seen so far on Ipad. Better independent user action, strategies and tactic of choice. As with all of the naval sims lite, targets are relatively close to start with so approach tactic gets short shift, but greater range of freedom once action starts. Higher difficulty levels are genuinely harder and require greater caution. If you want impressive scores to post up, stay simple and join the million ton club or crank it up and just try to survive. This one is a significant step forward from a gaming technical perspective. That alone is worthy of financially supporting product if only to see how we move forward next. Within its limitations, play is good, graphics pretty good, and more going on under the hood than any other lite simulation to date. Four stars. It would have been five if not for the absence of striking external views of the players platform. Regardless, a great effort.

Good game, great artwork, terrible programming! Game freezes constantly, occasionally wont let you end patrol so you are drifting with no fuel or weapons and must exit the game, thereby losing your score, and randomly cannot access the leader board to post your score that may have taken an hour or more to accumulate. To add to the above, deck gun will not fire after surfacing and speed kicks in instantly now making it hard to modulate.

I would NOT recommend this. Many issues and they increase with time played.

Bought this game too soon. Although it has potential of being a great game, it falls short.
